Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) ensure that cosmetic products are manufactured under conditions that guarantee safety and quality, without posing any harm to human health. GMP covers all stages of production, from the entry of raw materials into the manufacturing facility to processing, packaging, storage, and distribution. All cosmetic products must be produced in compliance with GMP and applicable standards.
GMP involves comprehensive evaluations across multiple areas, including personnel, facilities, equipment, cleaning and sanitation, storage, waste management and fire precautions, production, quality control, documentation (quality assurance system), contract manufacturing, complaints and product recalls, and internal audits.
